Like a child in a sandbox cutting a road with his finger through a sand mountain, God is blazing a trail through the mountains of the world so that His people will know and Glorify Him.
I was visiting with a very good friend who is a missionary in Tanzania. He made my heart jump with joy when he told about paved roads that were being built by France through the mountains in the area where he works. He said that God was opening the Gospel to the the Luguru people who are an unreached people group that live in those mountains.
When we were in S.E. Asia 2 years ago, the same thing was taking place there. Roads were being built which were allowing His word to penetrate and be proclaimed to a people who do not know Him.
God is active. He WILL make His name known. If we look, we can see Him declaring His glory through things such as the building of roads by a country that denies Him and another that might as well deny Him.
What a great God we serve! For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

that is the way i understood it. i believe that the reason that france is building roads in tz is because tz was or is still a french territory...i will check with mark if i see him today and ask him to clarigy.
