This is not just the greatest high school football game ever played but the greatest fooball game EVER played. You WILL WANT TO CHECK IT OUT HERE. If you have never seen Texas football, this is all you will need to get hooked.

It is state championship time once again. Sit down. Kick back and HOLD ON! The two time defedning National Champions are still in the hunt for their 4th state championship in the last 5 years.

Richland Springs is the team that beat the high school where I used to coach. They will play for the state championship game on Saturday at the legendary Shotwell Stadium. Their hope is to win a second state championship in a row.

Can anything good come out of Nazereth (Nazereth, Texas that is) ...We will know sometime around 10 pm, Friday night...(no Im not talking about the girls basketball team....15 state championships).


Of course you have Austin Westlake who is no stranger to the playoffs.


Celina, a small town football factory and home of the legendary G.A. Moore is attempting to put an 8th ring on their finger.


Lets not forget LaMarque winner of 4 state championships and who appeared in 7 state championship games over the last 12 years.


Of course there are other teams with tradition such as Wolforth Frenship, Waco, and Windthorst who historically have had good teams...(no Im not speaking of Windthorsts girls volleyball team, winner of 10 state championships).


Ya, buddy the next 2 weeks are gonna be good... :)
