Guangzhou Bans All Motor Bikes

As of January 1, 2007 the city of Guangzhou, China will ban ALL motor bikes from the streets. You can read about it here.

There are more than a quarter of a million bikes driving the streets of this city today.

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see the potential problem that banning motor bikes will create not only with general transportation but with the distributing of goods etc...

I think that from these pictures you will be able to see that it is obvious that motor bikes are a necessity for the people of this city. How will the people of this city whos livelyhoods depend on these modes of transportation survive?

Thank you for the photos Clarke! To read about Asian culture read Clarkes blog.
